Matt's whole life has been centered on sports and fitness. Football and soccer were his favorites growing up. Matt's love for football continued into Northeastern Illinois University, where he was quarterback for the Golden Eagles. Matt graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor's degree in Park and Recreation Management and a minor in Physical Education. Matt has continued his education throughout the years, always learning new techniques and methods with which to help his clients accomplish their goals. Matt is a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine) and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association).

After graduation, Matt was hired as a Personal Trainer at the Multiplex in Deerfield, where he trained professionals from the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. From there, Matt managed two area health clubs, but he always kept personally training his favorite clients, including a young Olympic hopeful from Crystal Lake. In 1998, Matt started working for a premier personal training firm, based in Chicago. He trained people from all walks of life, age groups, and fitness levels.

Matt's passion for fitness surrounds him, whether it be to coach his son's baseball or basketball teams, or to give motivational talks to area schools, clubs and organizations. His goals throughout the years have never changed: spreading fitness awareness, sharing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, and encouraging all to be fit.
